A new separate event, the San Diego Comic Art Summit, will be held on the Thursday of Comic-Con at a nearby off-site location, featuring limited tickets, complimentary refreshments, special gift bags, and on-site representation from Heritage Auctions, creating a premium environment for serious comic art collectors to network and acquire pieces directly from artists and dealers.
Comic book original art collectors will have a dedicated event during San Diego Comic-Con 2026 with the inaugural San Diego Comic Art Summit . Scheduled for Thursday, July 23rd, the evening gathering will take place at 100 East Harbor Drive, a separate location from the main convention floor, just across from Hall B. The summit is organized by a consortium of prominent art dealers and auction houses including Hell Destroyer Comics, More Great Art, Collector's Summit, Nostalgix, Red Hood Comics, and Heritage Auctions .
Priced at one hundred dollars per ticket, the event is designed as an exclusive, intimate experience for serious collectors, offering opportunities to network, negotiate deals, and interact with top comic artists in a more personal setting. Attendance is capped at two hundred guests, with the first eighty attendees receiving a special gift bag containing a limited edition signed print by Dan Quintana, a commemorative drinking glass, and other surprises.
Complimentary food and drinks are included, and Heritage Auctions will host discussions about consignments and future auctions away from the busy convention floor. The summit aims to replicate some of the exclusive atmosphere of events like Lake Como Comic Con for one night during Comic-Con, and its success could influence whether art dealers shift their focus from the main show floor to this alternate venue, at least for that evening
