San Antonio Zoo's 'Eclipse Extravaganza' to offer festivities and shed new light on animal behavior during eclipses.

The festivities will begin at 10:00 a.m. The solar eclipse will begin at 11:52 a.m. The interesting thing is that there are so few published studies on animal behavior at zoos during eclipses," Dr. Charles Ritzler, the Director of Animal Wellbeing, said, "so San Antonio Zoo would be making an incredibly unique contribution to an area of the scientific community that still isn't well understood or documented.
