After a hot Wednesday, more storms are expected for Thursday. Will they be strong or severe?
Despite it being mid-May, San Antonio experienced a delightful surprise as temperatures dropped to 60 degrees. It was the coolest weather we’ve had in weeks and is likely the last of its kind until September. Our average morning lows, from now through August are typically in the mid-60s to mid-70s. Tuesday afternoon was a beautiful day with abundant sunshine and gentle winds, bringing warmer-than-usual temperatures near 90 degrees.
More Severe Weather We had a brief break in the weather, but as expected, more severe weather is forecasted for Thursday. The high instability during the day means any thunderstorms that form could produce large to very large hail, ranging from golf ball to baseball size. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a level 2 out of 5 severe weather threat for parts of the Hill Country, Interstate 35 corridor, and Coastal Plains.
