A traffic stop in San Antonio led to a $2.5 million drug bust, resulting in felony charges for two individuals.
What started as a traffic stop on San Antonio 's South Side resulted in a $2.5 million drug bust. Isaac Israel Martinez Mendez and Alicia Dominguez Garcia , both 38, face felony drug charges after deputies found about 30 kilos of meth, a kilo of cocaine, and thousands of dollars in cash, Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said. During a Thursday news conference, Salazar said a Bexar County Sheriff's Office deputy conducted a traffic stop of Mendez around 1:20 p.m.
San Antonio man arrested, accused of fatal shooting at takeover party at Knights of Columbus hall Salazar said deputies found 25 to 30 kilos of meth, with a street value of $2.5 million, inside of the home. Additionally, a kilo of cocaine and about $20,000 in cash were also found. The man and woman were arrested without incident. When asked by a reporter if the drug bust could have ties to a Mexican cartel, Salazar said he's not ruling it out.
