With the new school year just a few weeks away, local districts are preparing for the rollout of Sentinel , a new statewide safety system announced by Governor Greg Abbott. by Governor Greg Abbott.
Additionally, Sentinel will offer mass communications capabilities to relay timely information to state leaders during emergencies. The San Antonio Independent School District is starting its implementation today with a School Safety and Security Committee meeting to introduce Sentinel and discuss their plan.
