Opinion: The city of San Antonio’s Office of Innovation has released its Roadmap for us to become a Smart City on par with the world’s best.

“The City of San Antonio’s Office of Innovation has a long track record of challenging the status quo in local government,” Brian Dillard, the director of the Office of Innovation, states in his opening message in the Roadmap.
Getting from here to there is the challenge. Long-term success will be measured by real change in the culture in both civilian municipal government and in the way police interact with citizens, especially in situations that too often spin out of control with fatal consequences.
