Television watchers around the country can get a taste of San Antonio ’s Muertos Fest next week, when the annual Dia de los Muertos festival is highlighted on the show “ Carnival Eats .” The episode, titled “ Parmageddon ,” will air Sunday, July 7 at 8 p.m. Central on the Cooking Channel , a cable channel owned by Food Network .

Other upcoming episodes will highlight Rodeo Austin and the Four States Fair in Texarkana. During Sunday's episode, the show’s host, Noah Cappe, will try a loaded Oaxacan tamale, an Elote Dog — a bacon-wrapped hot dog covered with street corn — and a smash burger taco, according to the Cooking Channel.
