It's one of the best coffee houses in San Antonio, and it's opening up a joint shop with charcuterie business CheeseMé in Beacon Hill.

Folklores Coffee House , which the Express-News named one of San Antonio 's best coffee shops in 2022, has scored a new space and hopes to open a second location by the end of the year. In a social media post Tuesday, Folklores Coffee House announced that it is teaming up with local charcuterie business CheeseMé to open a joint shop in Beacon Hill at 106 Michigan Ave .

The businesses are aiming for an opening date in late November or early December, owner Joel 'Tatu' Herrera told the Express-News.

Lawsuit alleges H-E-B employees stole cash from fundraiser meant for scholarship in Texas Tech student’s name Herrera and his wife, co-owner Emilie Herrera, launched Folklores Coffee House in 2018 on the South Side. In 2020, the couple opened a second location, in Government Hill, but financial troubles amid the pandemic forced the closure of the original, South Side shop later that year.

What we know about Brad Simpson, husband of missing real estate agent Suzanne Simpson Throughout it all, Folklores has continued serving up unique coffee creations like the cold-brew Vato Rudo — with horchata, cinnamon and caramel — and the Sheena — with banana, caramel and cinnamon. Pair those with some curated meats and cheeses, and that's what awaits at the new location.
