CPS Energy is ready to nail down the principles that will guide it for the next 25 years. The city-owned utility’s board began discussions Monday on what it calls its “ Horizon 2050 ” plan. Already, CPS has pledged to reach net neutral carbon emissions by that year. Now, the utility’s leaders are mapping out how they’ll get there. “We’ve got a 2050 decarbonization goal as a community,” CPS President and CEO Rudy Garza said.
