The accident happened just before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Bandera Road and West Loop 1604 North on the Northwest Side. Police said the officers were traveling through the intersection on a green light when another driver failed to stop at her red light, crashing into their patrol vehicle broadside. The impact caused the officers’ vehicle to leave the roadway and hit a utility pole. Both officers are reportedly alert and talking. One sustained a head injury, while the other suffered neck and back injuries.
