A San Antonio man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of fatally shooting a woman in a West Side motel last week.

Police charged Albert Casanova Jr., 39, with murder in connection with the death of 31-year-old Briann Merina Hernandez. His bail was set at $200,000.A hotel manager at the OYO Hotel on Southwest Loop 410 found Hernandez dead in her room on May 3 when the manager went to conduct the checkout procedure, according to an affidavit supporting Casanova’s arrest. Hernandez had been shot once in the head.
