It’s been nearly a month since the city implemented Stage 1 water restrictions, and the 10-day average of thecontinued to fall. It has dropped below 650 feet, triggering the next stage in the city’s Aquifer Management Plan ordinance. Under Stage 2 restrictions, watering days are the same as under Stage 1, but the period during which watering is allowed is shorter. The use of sprinklers, irrigation systems and soaker hoses is allowed from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on a resident’s designated day. Their use is not allowed outside these times, but as with Stage 1 restrictions, watering with a hand-held hose is allowed at any time.
