San Antonio ’s larger school districts saw slight gains on this year’s STAAR high school end-of-course exams, but most have yet to exceed — or even reach — pre-pandemic levels of proficiency, especially in math. It’s been two years since the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness was shifted online and revamped to better align with classroom instruction. Results released by the Texas Education Agency last week suggest that students are still getting used to the new format.
