San Antonio child actress and Netflix star Sammi Haney is the inspiration for 'Savvy Sammi,' a new children's book about a superhero in a wheelchair.

Sammi was nominated for a Children's & Family Emmy for her role in the Netflix series"Raising Dion" as Esperanza, a sassy wheelchair user. Sammi has brittle bone disease and has lived with the condition since birth.For a 12-year-old wheelchair user with an Emmy nomination and her own clothing line,Now the San Antonio actress has her own costumed alter-ego to prove it.
