The city’s Animal Care Services said the dogs attacked a woman as she walked in a neighborhood in early September.
All six dogs involved in a September attack in a Southwest Side neighborhood have been euthanized. The animals had been running freely off their owners’ property and were declared dangerous after they attacked a 44-year-old woman who was walking around 4 p.m. Sept. 4 on West Southcross Boulevard near Priscilla Street . The woman, who was not identified, suffered a bite on her right calf. She was treated at the scene and later at a hospital.

Last week, a 1-year-old baby boy was mauled by three pit bull terriers in Converse and died at a hospital. Jiryiah Johnson was with a babysitter who left the infant alone with her 13-year-old daughter. The dogs forced their way into a bedroom where the baby was lying on a bed.
