SAN ANTONIO - A local elected official traveled to Washington D.C. to represent Military City USA at the inauguration of the new administration.

On Monday, District 4 Councilmember Dr. Adriana Rocha braved the cold and represented the City of San Antonio at the inauguration of 47th President Donald J. Trump. Rocha was invited to attend the event as the current president of the National League of Cities Women in Municipal Government constituency group, working with local leaders across the country to improve the lives of current and future constituents.

“Representing Military City, USA in D.C. will help us continue to build relationships with federal leaders and advocate for more direct support for our city, especially as it relates to Joint Base San Antonio, which is the largest military economic contributor in Texas,” stated the District 4 Councilmember. “Working with the new administration is critical as we explore the possibility of building the Air Force Cyber headquarters and expanding the innovation district at Port San Antonio.

As San Antonio continues to lead other U.S. cities in population growth, securing funding for infrastructure, energy, transportation, and economic development has proven critical for the city's future.
