Several City Council members want San Antonio officials to move faster to distribute money from the city's controversial Reproductive Justice Fund , but the dollars may not go out the door until next year. Though the council included the $500,000 fund in the budget for this fiscal year, members have been squabbling for months over exactly how to spend the money.

Majority of City Council wants to give money to women seeking abortions out of state How much of the money will go to out-of-state travel for abortion access is also up in the air. Metro Health is setting aside $200,000 for that purpose and for home pregnancy tests, emergency contraception and home test kits for sexually transmitted diseases, among other items.
