A viral street art image of Gov. Greg Abbott and U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz has been covered up by the owners of the abandoned San Antonio building it was on. The image was displayed on the former home of Amols’ Fiesta and party supplies at 710 S. Flores St., but it is unclear how long it was plastered there. While the current owners of the property could not be reached for comment, a public relations company that represents Amols’ confirmed a maintenance worker painted over the massive sticker either Tuesday or Wednesday, after a business neighbor called the property owners’ broker.It remains unclear who put up the art, but a few San Antonio artists and muralists contacted for the artist's identity said the same thing about the guerrilla work: They didn’t do it, but they sure enjoyed it.
