The Brahmas chose 10 players who are currently in the NFL as undrafted free agents, including receiver Joshua Cephus from the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The San Antonio Brahmas selected former UTSA wide receiver Joshua Cephus with their final pick in the 2024 UFL College Draft, capping a group of 10 selections announced Wednesday. The Brahmas opened the draft by taking Baylor defensive tackle Gabe Hall at No. 7 overall and addressed eight positions with their selections, doubling up at cornerback and receiver.
His final year was his best, as he posted a school-record 1,151 receiving yards with 10 touchdowns on 89 catches to earn first-team All-American Athletic Conference honors. Cephus was one of the most sure-handed receivers in the country, listed with a drop rate of just 1.1% in 2023, per Pro Football Focus. He presents a lanky target at 6-foot-3, and he ran the 40-yard dash in the low-4.5 second range at UTSA’s pro day.
