After a dormant first half offensively, Chase Garbers threw three fourth-quarter touchdown passes to lift the San Antonio Brahmas to a second straight win.
San Antonio Brahmas coach Wade Phillips wanted to believe he had a resilient team, but after spending less than two months around the group, he understood that he wouldn’t know for sure until a true test arrived. Just two weeks into the first UFL season, the Brahmas faced that adversity Saturday, entering the fourth quarter facing a 16-point deficit after a dormant offensive performance.
” After San Antonio regained possession at its own 16-yard line facing a 19-8 deficit with 2:35 to play, Garbers connected with Latimer for a 28-yard gain and later hit Kirklin for a 23-yard pickup before finding Kirklin again in the back-left corner of the end zone for a 5-yard touchdown.
