San Antonio Animal Care Services (ACS) has issued 71 criminal citations to pet owners since December 1st, 2024, for violating the city's zero-tolerance policy on cold-weather pet neglect. City and state laws require pet owners to provide proper shelter and prohibit using unsuitable tethers, such as chains, for outdoor pets. Leaving pets in freezing temperatures at 32 degrees Fahrenheit or below is also against the law.
A man was shot three times on the Northwest Side following a potential road rage incident, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
