San Antonio International Airport (SAT) introduces a new program called 'SAT Pass' allowing a limited number of non-flying guests to go through security to meet and greet loved ones. Guests can apply online at least 24 hours in advance for a free pass, which will be sent to their home for swift security transit. The program launches on February 11th, with up to 50 non-ticketed passengers per day granted access post-security.
On Tuesday, San Antonio International Airport announced that a new program would allow a limited number of non-flying guests per day to go through security to meet and greet loved ones.
SAT Pass is a new application process that allows non-ticketed passengers to go through the lines at TSA to either greet their loved ones at the gate or give them a proper send-off on their trip. Guests can go online to request a pass at least 24 hours in advance, and if approved, their pass will be sent directly to their home, allowing swift transit through security.
“This pass is designed for anyone who wants to spend additional time with a traveler, we listened to our travelers and members of the community, and we feel Valentine’s week is the perfect time to launch this new free service,” said Tonya Hope, Public Relations Manager, San Antonio International Airport. “We shared information about the new program with our travelers and included the message on some sweet treats for Valentine’s Day”.
Starting on Feb. 11, up to 50 non-ticketed passengers a day will be able to go post-security with their SAT Pass.
