Samsung unveiled its new Galaxy S23 series at its Unpacked event, but also took the opportunity to showcase its upcoming VR headset. Though details about the headset are scarce, images and the presence of a Qualcomm chip suggest a strong focus on gaming and productivity.
The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event just concluded and the company announced its newest phones as well as their biggest selling point: AI. But while thethat Samsung is developing with Google was only teased briefly. Fortunately the headset is present at the event and we’ve got pictures.. Even the color scheme is almost the same with the giant dark glass front and the silver and grays around it.
No controllers were seen alongside the headset either and I fear Samsung may end up making the same mistake as Apple. The latter had to go back on its decision recently and is working with Sony to bring. Gaming is a major part of the VR industry and Samsung should not forgo it in favor of just productivity and passive entertainment.. So I’m hoping that not only will we see controllers for the headset but also enhanced ergonomics for long sessions of use.
