Samsung has made its final decision on the processor and motherboard for its S25 series, opting for Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite (Gen 4) and partnering with FastPrint for advanced motherboard production.
Samsung has finalized the specifications and design for its upcoming S25 series, opting for the Snapdragon 8 Elite (Gen 4) processor across all models. The decision to choose Qualcomm's chipset over its own Exynos processor was driven by cost considerations and limited yield from the Exynos line. Samsung is partnering with FastPrint's PCB factory near Beijing to manufacture the system boards for the S25 series.
This collaboration leverages FastPrint's expertise in producing strong, thin, and flexible motherboards. FastPrint's Beijing factory was acquired by Ibiden two years ago, bringing advanced printed circuit board (PCB) technology to the table. This technology, including flip chip and ball grid array, enables Samsung to create high-value system boards for its flagship handsets.
