The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is facing widespread charging issues, despite boasting 'Super Charging 2.0' technology. Users report intermittent and slow charging speeds, even when using official Samsung chargers and cables. This has led to frustration among S25+ and S25 Ultra owners, who expected a more reliable charging experience from Samsung's flagship devices.

Initial disappointment stemmed from the lack of substantial upgrades in the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, except for a few minor enhancements. However, as users spend more time with these phones, several technical issues have emerged. A widespread concern among S25+ owners is the intermittent and sluggish charging behavior when attempting to utilize the phone's advertised 'fast' 45W wired charging capabilities.

While 45W isn't the fastest charging technology available, with competitors offering 80W in the US and 100W globally, users expected Samsung to at least deliver flawless performance with this feature. Reports surfaced on Reddit and Samsung's community forums detailing the charging problems. Some users claim that the charger compatible with their previous Galaxy flagship models fails to function properly with the S25, resulting in agonizingly slow charging speeds. A common complaint is that the phone gets stuck in a charging and non-charging loop despite displaying 'Super Charging 2.0' on the screen. Other users report their S25+ refusing to charge entirely, constantly toggling between a connected and disconnected state. These issues persist even when employing Samsung's official 45W charger paired with the bundled 5A USB-C cables.A workaround discovered by affected users involves disabling the fast charging feature. This allows the phone to charge using the 45W adapter, but at a significantly slower pace. While the problem appears relatively widespread, some users report a resolution after the phone's software updated. Samsung has acknowledged the issue and promised a future update to rectify it. They also recommend utilizing the 3A USB-C cable (included with the phone) instead of the 5A cable. Fortunately, the problem doesn't seem to affect wireless charging, which remains unaffected. The charging woes appear limited to the wired charging of the S25+ and S25 Ultra models.
