The 11,000-square foot restaurant, an elevated version of the singer’s Cabo Wabo Cantina concept, will open in February at The Waterfront Beach Resort.

The outdoor bar is intended to resemble a Mexican palapa with a dried palm leaf roof and finishes in coastal sea blues with sandy hues. The restaurant will include rock ‘n’ roll elements including an outdoor flaming guitar fire pit as a nod to Hagar’s expansive Grammy Award-winning music career. Though the Cabo Wabo concept started south of the border, Hagar is excited to expand his dining concept into Orange County.

“I’m thrilled to announce that The Waterfront Beach Resort, which is one of my favorite hotels, is introducing the first Cabo Wabo Beach Club,” said Sammy Hagar in a statement. “Inspired by the laidback Baja party vibe of my original Cabo Wabo Cantina, there won’t be a better spot to enjoy cocktails and fantastic cuisine overlooking the beach.”

Cabo Wabo Beach Club & Bar will open in February at The Waterfront Beach Resort, 21100 Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach. Information:
