Sam Smith has issued a public statement after their concert was suddenly cancelled during the performance at the AO Arena in Manchester on Wednesday night .
The lights temporarily dimmed with some brief speculation online from fans there had been a 'power cut' before thousands were told the show had ended due to 'vocal issues' and to leave the arena.
"Today in soundcheck I felt fine and was so excited to give Manchester an amazing show tonight, with a special surprise at the end.
