Sam Goody, a once-popular music and entertainment retail chain, will shut down its last two U.S. stores in 2025. The Ohio Valley Mall location will close in February, while the Rogue Valley Mall store's closure date is yet to be announced.
Sam Goody will close its doors for good in the U.S. with the shuddering of it's two remaining stores Sam Goody , the music and entertainment retail chain founded in 1951, will soon close its two remaining locations: the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville, Ohio, and the Rogue Valley Mall in Medford, Oregon., the Ohio Valley Mall location will close in February 2025. No date has yet been given for the Oregon closure. Sam Goody stores were a staple in malls throughout the U.S. and U.K.
In acquiring 400 Musicland stores, the company decided to rebrand 345 of them as shrinking brick-and-mortar entertainment store franchise, F.Y.E.to Sunrise Records for $10 million.
