Sam Bankman-Fried's wealth was 'built on lies,' prosecutor says at trial

Thane Rehn, a prosecutor, said it looked like Bankman-Fried was on top of the world a year ago after amassing power and influence, but he"was not who he appeared to be." His lawyers are likely to try to shift the blame for FTX's dramatic failure to the cooperating witnesses, and argue they are implicating Bankman-Fried in order to seek lenient sentences.
