Bankman-Fried, 31, was booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, records from the Federal Bureau of Prisons show. The judge's decision ended a monthslong battle between the Justice Department and the onetime crypto entrepreneur over his behavior while awaiting trial on fraud charges.
Federal inmates in New York City are typically detained at MDC, though Bankman-Fried could be moved elsewhere. A lawyer for Bankman-Fried said he intended to appeal the judge's order revoking bail.
