Salo, binawi ang pagiging may-akda ng isa sa ABSCBNfranchise renewal bills
MAYNILA - Binawi ng isang kongresista ang kanyang pagiging may-akda ng House Bill No. 6901 na naglalayong magbigay ng bagong prangkisa sa ABS-CBN dahil hindi umano napatunayan ng network na mali ang mga alegasyong binabato laban dito.
"I am also certain that it will just be a temporary setback to the majority of its employees as other networks and stations will readily accept the workforce that comes with proven talents and expertise," dagdag niya. Para kay Agusan Del Norte Rep. Lawrence Fortun, tila napasinungalingan naman sa pagdinig ang mga alegasyon sa network na "biased reporting" at "meddling in elections". Aniya, mismong concerned agencies na ang nagsabing nag-comply ang ABS-CBN sa kanilang mga regulasyon.
Giit ni Zarate, bagaman trabaho ng Kamara na dinggin ang franchise applications, hindi papel ng Kongreso ang pagtatakda kung ano at paano ang gagawing pagbabalita ng mga mamamahayag.
