If you're confused as to where to find one of the RM5 Menu Rahmah meals near you, the government is currently working on an app that'll list out all eateries offering Menu Rahmah.
You’ve probably seen the news articles and social media posts by now promoting this new Menu Rahmah thing. Essentially, it’s a government initiative encouraging businesses and restaurants big and small to take part in a scheme offering meals at RM5 and less for lunch and dinner to help the rakyat out with rising living costs. You can now find these RM5 meals at places such as Mydin supermarkets to even your local mamak.
Salahuddin says that his ministry is developing this app that will contain a directory of eateries participating in the Menu Rahmah program. This app will not just list out all the Menu Rahmah locations though, but also provide people with more information on the food operators involved as well as promoting these restaurants and their Menu Rahmah meals. He adds that over 15,000 restaurants nationwide have already taken part in the scheme, and that it has been well received throughout Malaysia.
