The Pittsburgh Steelers released Marquez Callaway on Tuesday, but he found a new home quickly.

In the past, the Steelers have done that to allow the veterans to find new landing spots.
While this is a new spot for Callaway in training camp, it is far from new for him overall. Callaway signed with the Saints in 2020 after going undrafted and stayed with the team through the 2022 season. He bounced around in 2023 but ended up finishing the season in New Orleans anyway. Now, he is back with the Saints.ankle injury.
"Yeah, I think that group as a whole. I think George has made progress every day. I was fired up to see him make that play at the end of the two minute drive, and his growth and development,” Smith said. “George is a very instinctive football player. He sees the game well, and different ways to use George – I’ve really, so far, enjoyed working with George. And he’s producing. He’s a critical partof our offense.
Callaway will also try to crack the Saints’ wide receiver corps, which has a need down the depth chart. So, this is another opportunity in a familiar place for Callaway to make some inroads.
