The New Orleans Saints have officially announced that rookie Spencer Rattler is now going to be the starting quarterback for the team moving forward. After the 2021 season, Rattler announced he would be transferring to South Carolina, where he reunited with head coach Shane Beamer.While playing for the Gamecocks in 2022 and 2023, Rattler posted 6,212 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions.Rattler showcased some elite playmaking abilities with his arm, and the ability to scramble. Through four seasons, he also secured 16 rushing touchdowns.The Saints are now hoping that Rattler can lead the team while Carr recovers from his injury.
