Saffron Barker reveals the real reason she and partner AJ Pritchard didn’t wear poppies during Strictly Come Dancing live show on Saturday
The YouTube star is partnered with pro dancer AJ Pritchard November 04, 2019 - 14:32 GMT Gemma Strong Saffron Barker has explained why she wasn't wearing a poppy during her performance on Saturday's Strictly Come Dancing with partner AJ Pritchard. While other couples were clearly wearing a commemorative pin ahead of Remembrance Day on 11 November, Saffron and AJ did not – and they immediately came under fire from some disgruntled viewers.
Speaking to Tess Daly after learning of her fate, Viscountess Emma said she had enjoyed the Strictly experience "more than anything I've done in my entire life". Turning to Aljaz, she added: "I'm going to be forever grateful to you for working so hard, you've been so patient with me and teaching me everything. Thank you, I want to be friends forever because you're just amazing. I never wanted to let you down, I'm just heartbroken.
