"It's not really a big issue, the preference is both teams wear colours that distinguish themselves from each other," SAFA head of Referees Abdul Ebrahim tells"It could probably mean whoever was in the away team did not bring other shorts for them to wear, or the referee deemed it not to be a problem.
"But ideally, both teams should wear colours that distinguish them from each other, as well as the match officials. "Whatever was decided on the pre-match meeting and a team didn't obey, then it's up to the match commissioner to act."What is agreed on in the pre-match meetings it's what you as a match official expect to see on the field of play."Remember, we can't let a colour of a sock or shorts to unnecessarily stop a match.
