The 25-year-old pop sensation’s highly anticipated album, “Short n’ Sweet,” dropped on Friday along with a music video for her song “Taste.”
The morbid video began with a much-needed graphic warning before Carpenter left to seek revenge on her boyfriend’s new girlfriend, played by Ortega.
Upon the realization, the “Halloween” star whipped out a chainsaw and drove it through Carpenter’s chest. However, it ended up being the boyfriend instead.The moment was perfectly timed with the lyrics, “Well I heard you’re back together and if that’s true / You’ll just have to taste me when he’s kissing you.”
They also referenced 2000’s “Ginger Snaps” when Carpenter was impaled on a white picket fence, leaving her with a massive hole in her abdomen.Carpenter’s highly anticipated album “Short n’ Sweet” was officially released on Friday. Her first two singles from the album — “Please, Please, Please”also garnered over 81 million views in the two months since it was posted.
