Sabah tourism on way to breach pre-Covid level

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s tourism is well on its way to breaching the pre-Covid-19 level and the Miss International Malaysia 2023 is one of the catalysts, said Tourism Malaysia Director-General Datuk Dr Ammar Abd Ghapar.

He said Sabah’s pre-pandemic numbers were 4.2 million generating RM9 billion in revenue.“Our recovery post-pandemic has surpassed most other tourist destinations in the world, and Sabah is well on its way to breaching the pre-pandemic level by 2024,” he said at the Miss International Malaysia 2023 press conference at the Sabah International Convention Centre , Saturday.
