“The State Government, through the Sabah Maju Jaya Secretariat , is taking proactive steps to refine the definition of hardcore poverty in the State by incorporating 13 additional indicators,” he said in response to a question by Sekong assemblyman Alias Sani, at the State Legislative Assembly sitting, here, Monday.
These indicators include homeownership, employment, land ownership, ability to pay for basic services, physical or mental disabilities, critical illnesses, access to transportation, livestock ownership, birth registration status, and education level.
