KOTA KINABALU: 'Tribesman – The Last Red Hunter', a fictional story inspired by a legendary Sabah warrior, will be screened at selected cinemas in Malaysia in conjunction with the Kaamatan month.

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan with the cast and crew of the Sabah-made film Tribesman- The Last Red Hunter.

The 90-minute film directed by Khalid Sulaiman, Rashid Abu Bakar and Flora Juanis premiered at Asia City here Thursday and will be screened in selected cinemas in Sabah, Sarawak, Kuala Lumpur and Brunei Darussalam. “With the difficulties gathering details of Antanom, I decided to make a fictional story and combine various local dialects in it, which allows me to be more creative in producing the film without having the restriction to stick on facts,” she said at the premier.
