The organisation says it had resolved to investigate allegations received against him.

South African Tourism on Tuesday said that its board had decided to place chief executive Sisa Ntshona on precautionary suspension following certain allegations levelled against him.

The organisation said that it had resolved to investigate allegations received against Ntshona through its anonymous tip-offs reporting mechanism. It then decided to place him on precautionary suspension in order to conduct a free and fair investigation, it said. “This would allow the CEO to focus on responding to the allegations as well as guarantee the integrity and transparency of the process to be followed.”
