"At the time of the review being handed down, the government accepted in principle those recommendations, and a number of them are progressing," Ms Hildyard said.The government is also yet to complete a promised social worker hiring drive. "We need to hear as a matter of priority from Katrine Hildyard about what sort of difficulties have led to this most unusual step being taken by the government," he said.
