SANParks says none of its rangers or other employees have tested positive for COVID-19.

It says it's ready to reopen its parks the moment it's allowed to do so. eNCA's Gerhard Pretorius was in the Kruger National Park this weekend to monitor the impact of the lockdown there. CourtesyActing head of communications Ray Thakhuli says the game reserve is ready to reopen its parks the moment it is allowed to do so.

"We know that our visitors, our guests in our parks, they miss being in the parks. We also miss them you know we also really miss seeing our visitors in our parks. But we will remain hopeful that quite soon, at whatever level is advised by government, you know we are ready if we are told tomorrow you are open,""We do communicate with our employees in terms of how they can keep themselves safe.

So we are quite excited that we have reached a stage where we would be reporting on any employee who has tested positive.
