Carl Niehaus , suspended African National Congress member and spokesperson of the disbanded Umkhonto weSizwe Military Veterans Association , is arrested by South African Police Services officers outside the Estcourt Correctional Services Centre in Estcourt on July 8, 2021, for contravening COVID-19 lockdown Level 4 regulationsJOHANNESBURG - The lockdown violation case against Carl Niehaus has been postponed to 22 November.

The suspended MKMVA spokesperson appeared in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court in KwaZulu-Natal on Wednesday.This was after former president Jacob Zuma's incarceration.The National Prosecuting Authority in KZN says he had the option of paying a fine.
