SA Breweries representatives toast with the executives of the SA Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee during the sponsorship launch in Hartbeespoort last week.Ahead of the Paris Games in France next month, City Press caught up with former South African Olympic medalists Khotso Mokoena and Sizwe Lawrence Ndlovu as they reminisced about making the podium at the mega global sporting event.

Now both retired, the two serve in the athletes’ commission of the SA Sports Confederation and Olympic and Paralympic Committee .Mokoena , is the chairperson of the athletes’ structure while Ndllovu , serves as a member and doubles up as a rowing coach. Croeser added: “So, we believe that sport is a wonderful occasion for people to enjoy our products. And we've seen that recently is a global trend, but it's prevalent in South Africa as well. It's a wonderful thing because people are moderating their consumption. I think that by being in sport, we can have a positive influence on sportspeople, on the fans, through messages such as this and products like this.
