TCl South Africa has launched a new range of smart TVs locally, including several ultra-wide screen options like the 114' behemoth.

TCL says that the screen has a peak brightness of 5 000 nits and over 20 000+ local dimming zones. More dimming zones allow for better backlighting controls. The smart TVs also come with automatic screen brightness gauges, which adjust to the local darkness or light in a room and are set up with Google’s Android TV software and Gemini AI.
There are four ranges of smart TV launched by TCL in South Africa, and each of the ranges comes with unique add-ons and gimmicks.TCL will be selling the TVs locally through new partnerships with Massmart in stores like Makro and Game, as well as through existing partners like Incredible, HiFi Corp and others. For the largest model, you will have to wait a while before you receive it, as TCL will have to import from overseas.
