KUCHING: Sarawak is studying which economic activities can be allowed to reopen in areas categorised as Covid-19 green zones, says Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah.

The Deputy Chief Minister said the state disaster management committee was looking into the matter to mitigate the economic impact of the movement control order .

"We have a team now seriously studying what the activities we can allow to operate in the green areas," he said after visiting the active case detection operation in Kota Samarahan on Wednesday . "But we cannot only consider the economy, we also have to consider the lives of the people. So the committee will come up with a decision which is appropriate for Sarawak," he said.
