SIBU: Sarawak DAP has directed all its members and elected representatives who had close contacts with Sarikei MP Wong Ling Biu in the last 14 days to observe self-quarantine.
said on Sunday that the directive is in compliance with the SOP set by the Health Ministry to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
Wong, who tested positive for Covid-19, is being treated at Sibu Hospital since his admission on March 13. "Most of us had last close contact with YB Wong on March 1, 2020, the day when Tan Sri Muhyiddin was sworn in as the Prime Minister and thus we have passed the 14-day period," said Chong. He added that though both he and Kuching MP Kelvin Yee had no fever, cough or any symptom of the virus infection, they have had Covid-19 tests done by the Sarawak General Hospital on Sunday morning.
