Another successful year of Siclovia!

But the flooded roadways he got swept up in Sunday might have been the most fun he’s ever had on pavement.
Sunday’s Síclovía covered around two miles, from North Main Avenue near San Antonio College to Maverick Park off Broadway, closed off to encourage the use of bicycles and other foot-powered wheels. The free, family-friendly event is pet friendly, too.“The importance behind it is just getting the community back together,” said Shannon Gowen, YMCA senior director of mission advancement and communications. “Getting out, getting active, getting sunlight just meeting new people really helps your mental health. That’s kind of what our 20th event is all about.
Sunday’s outdoor harmony of bikes, boards and more also featured food trucks, vendors, exercise classes and a number of other roadside attractions.
