“Just to be ready at all times,” Bannon said prior to Wednesday night’s series finale against the Blue Jays at Minute Maid Park. “They haven’t really told me too much as to how much playing time I’m going to get, but I’m ready for any opportunity at all. And night there was a hectic 10 minutes right there toward the end of the game so we were all moving around … I’m looking for any opportunity.”
Bannon, who turns 27 on Saturday, primarily has played third base in the minors with four organizations. He played plenty at second base in spring training this year with the Astros, and he said he even played one game at shortstop for Sugar Land this season.outfielder Chas McCormick was placed on the 10-day injured list
